Thanks to a four flights and several train-rides over the past two weeks, I was able to wrap up Against All Enemies. It was quite the read, and should be taught to every junior-year high-school student in America.
I’ve decided to take a break from the current events and policy genre for my next book, John Steinbeck’s classic The Grapes of Wrath…

Salinas is not too far from my home, so maybe I’ll visit to see what all the fuss is about. The change from political to early-20th century writing couldn’t be any more distinct. I find myself re-reading paragraphs at a time just in order to acquaint myself with the style.
I found this book in the bottom of my closet at my parent’s house, which could only mean that this was prescribed reading back in high school, but I think it was my brother’s and not mine. Found books is like found money where I come from.
