Jesus on Facebook

I am in the midst of decommissioning my Facebook account — a process that began when I inadvertently realized I had 111 so-called friends; I am now at 11 — which is (surprisingly) having all sorts of reverberations (more on that… later… maybe).
I’m taking a moment to remember my best-of statuses, or what I consider “best-of”…*

And in text-form, you know, for Google searches of ‘facebook’ and/or ‘jesus’ (monetize, monetize, monetize, that’s what mama always said)…
Jeffrey is giving up on Jesus.
Jeffrey is thinking that Jesus may be making a comeback.
Jeffrey is thinking that if Jesus was in fact a good carpenter, Pottery Barn would have had a bedroom set named for him by now.
Jeffrey is thinking that maybe Facebook isn’t the platform to make fun of Jesus for being a poor carpenter (which is most likely true).
Jeffrey is thinking that Jesus, son of Joseph and Mary, was not that good of a carpenter, and that is why he didn’t follow in his father’s footsteps.
* Is it conceited to consider that your Facebook statuses qualify for a best-of? I’m lost on this one. What is the precedent?
