A Twitter Beating

I’ve taken a beating on Twitter, or so it seems, for whatever it is worth, regarding my controversial write-up of the Mother Jones / Rachel Maddow event.
It went something like this [Note: I did not post anything to Twitter; these are other people's tweets.]…
comment & photo from Mother Jones event with Rachel Maddow http://tinyurl.com/decq5o #
@stonermc Thanks for that link (Maddow at Mother Jones event). It’s pretty obv that whoever wrote that piece is MASSIVELY jealous of Maddow. #
@therewaslove yes, I had to wonder at the tone of the posting. It seems a waste that this person won the ticket really. #
@stonermc “wonder”? my dear, I was full-on balking at the bitchiness of her tone. I didn’t see a place to leave comments, *ugh* lol #
@therewaslove well, you know me, always polite! ahem.. now and then. There is a reply box on the bottom of that page.. i dare you! :-p #
@stonermc lol, maybe it’s the british thing? oh, I’m taking that dare! I’m going back to that link, and I will tell that bitch off. #
@therewaslove Now, now.. calm down before you off on one. Remember, Rachel would want you to be polite. :-) #
All of that resulted in a comment posted on this blog. Thank you for reading (and I mean that; it is the discussion that counts).

I didn’t post the initial tweet. Someone found the Mother Jones post on Google, then tweeted it. That started the chain reaction.

Yet another fine illustration of the many “uses” of Twitter: an answer to a question no one has asked.
