Caption: Bloomberg’s Yellow Line

Could Mike Bloomberg become president? Could the renegade former-democrat, former-republican, now-independent mayor of New York follow the rules long enough to make a run for the nation's highest office? Maybe. But could he please stand behind the yellow line?

Sir, please, stand behind the yellow line. It is textured for your enjoyment.

The president had the misfortune of speaking about the wildfires in front of the action-hero governor of California...

Bush and Cheney met with officials today to discuss the devastating Southern California wildfires, but the vice president had other thoughts on his mind...

Reuters is running their Pictures of the Year, and this photo -- which I had previously blogged in July, albeit without a caption -- is one of them...

Photo Caption Contest… JonBenet Frenzy.

This is one of those images "worth a thousand words." (That is a saying, right?)

Rita Cosby: "Say it ain't so. My career depends on this."

For those who may not know, Rita Cosby is the woman with her face pressed up against the window. Although Cosby still works for MSNBC, she recently had her pathetic show cancelled.

The official caption notes that "Bush acknowledged sending 'mixed signals' on energy policy." Mixed signals...

Bush: "Player to the left of me, player to the right."

Caption time (my favorite). While perusing the Washington Post's year-in-review photo album, this one caught my eye. (Although I use humor at this time, it is imperative I note that this photo was taken during the solemn funeral service for the late great Pope John Paul II.)

Bush: "Player to the left of me, player to the right; sinners..."
